The Scattered Sites are comprised of 40 Single Family Homes used for “Income-Based Public Housing” and are located across the St. Cloud area. Units include 3, 4, and 5-bedroom rambler and bi-level style houses. Rent for these units is based upon 30% of a household’s total gross income and includes a deduction for tenant-paid utilities.

House sizes vary according to the number of bedrooms and style of the house. All kitchens include basic appliances, including a stove and refrigerator. All units are also equipped with a furnace, water heater, and washer/dryer hook-ups. These houses may also include a mixed variety of features, including multiple bathrooms, an attached or detached garage, a walk-out patio or deck, central air conditioning, walk-in closets, a storage shed, off-street parking, and handicap accessibility. Residents are responsible for all utilities.

The Public Housing Program was created in 1937 under the Housing Act. Each resident pays 30% of their adjusted income in rent. Public Housing is operated from the rent paid by residents and an operating subsidy from HUD.
