Bridges and Bridges Regional Treatment Center (RTC) Rental Assistance
Bridges and Bridges RTC Rental Assistance are funded by Minnesota Housing. Program participants pay a minimum of 30% of their monthly adjusted income toward rent. The program provides rental assistance which is the difference between the participants rent portion and the contract rent. The rent assistance is paid directly to the property owner.
Bridges Rental Assistance Program
The program helps households with very low incomes and a mental illness pay the rent on market-rate rental units while they wait for a Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) or another rental subsidy. A housing subsidy is paid to the landlord directly by the HRA on behalf of the household. The household then pays the difference between the actual rent charged by the landlord and the amount subsidized by the program. The program also funds security deposits which are paid directly to the landlord .
The program provides support services to help individual move into permanent housing.
The HRA partners with the CommUNITY Adult Mental Health Initiative (CAMHI) who provides these services.
